THE ART OF SLOW MAGIC!

A woman smiling outdoors in a blue jacket at a beach or coastal area.

I'm Lesley-Anne - mother, photographer, mentor, home educator, and quiet celebrator of life’s little moments.

A few years ago, my family and I left behind the fast-paced mainland for the wide skies and wild beauty of the Outer Hebrides. We came in search of a slower, softer way of living… one that honours my neurodivergent brain and supports the sensory needs of my family.

Our Little Hebrides is more than just a name, it’s a wee invitation to a studio built on slow magic, where real family moments are captured just as they unfold. No posing, no pressure - just presence. I specialise in true documentary photography for families who need a quieter pace: sensory-sensitive, neurodivergent, wonderfully wired, and wholly themselves.

Whether I’m behind the lens, sharing our home education journey, or guiding families through meaningful mentoring, this is a space for real life, as it is, not how it’s expected to be.

If you’re drawn to unhurried connection, honest images, and a life that listens instead of shouts - welcome. You’ve found your place.

More about Me

Journal: Notes from the Edge of the World…

A collection of thoughts, stories and snapshots from our slow and simple life on this windy Hebridean Island. Here, I write about slow, simple living, home education, neurodivergent family life, creativity and the beauty of everyday moments. It’s a space for reflection and connection and finding joy in the little things. Settle in, have a read and feel free to join the conversation.

Our Little View: Capturing Hebridean Moments…

Through Our Little View, I share photographs that tell the story of our view of life in the Outer Hebrides. Each image reflects the raw beauty of the island and the simple moments that define our days living here. From windswept coastlines to quiet scenes, these photographs offer a glimpse into our world and invite you to see the Hebrides through our eyes….
